Philippines: Dengue Fever

The Philippines recorded a total of 720 suspected Dengue Fever cases and 567 confirmed Dengue Fever cases in Pangasinan and Negros Oriental respectively this year.

Singapore reported 5 cases of Chikungunya Fever linked to Lim Chu Kang, bringing to 150 the total number of such cases in the country this year.

Thailand reported a total of 41 307 cases of Dengue Fever, including 48 deaths, this year, with 48 deaths.

In Afghanistan, an outbreak of Crimean-Congo Haemorrhagic Fever affecting 5 people including 2 deaths was reported in Herat.

India: Dengue Fever

India reported a total of 35 Dengue Fever cases in Delhi so far this year. It is 3 times more than those reported during the same period last year.

Pakistan: Dengue Fever

Pakistan reported 287 cases of Dengue Fever, including 4 deaths, Dengue fever in the city of Karachi, with 4 deaths. Five new patients were admitted in different hospitals in the last 24 hours.

South Pacific Islands: Dengue Fever

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has issued a Dengue Feverdengue fever warning for Fiji following the recent outbreak in neighbouring Pacific Island countries.

In Benin, 2 chickens purchased from a market in Lokossa were tested positive for the highly pathogenic Avian Influenza virus.

Russia : Enterovirus Infection

In Russia, an outbreak of Enterovirus Infection affecting about 300 people, mostly children, was reported in Vladivostok. Half of the cases developed symptoms of meningitis.
